Give thanks to him; bless his name.  Ps. 100:4

…they glorified God… Lk. 7:16

Lord, this day you turned grief and sorrow into gladness and joy.  Seeing the widow you were moved with pity for her.  Not only had she lost her husband but now her only soon too.  Without them she was doomed to a life of begging and loneliness.  I know people who seem to have a series of trouble or death in their lives.  One sorrow comes after another.  I feel pity for them too.  The power and authority of God visited this widow and her neighbors this day.  How did this miracle of yours change their lives forever?  Many, no doubt, began to glorify and praise God more intensely than ever.  Lord, I too praise and glorify you for all you have done for me.  When I’m at the end of my rope you are always there to catch me.  When I feel alone you are always with me.  When my future looks bleak you always provide whatever I need to go on.   I thank you from the bottom of my heart for seeing me and loving me just as I am.  Thank you for having pity on me and for saving me for eternal life.  Amen.
