October 2, 2018 Tuesday of the 26th Week in Ordinary Time-B THE HOLY GUARDIAN ANGELS
Job 3:1-3, 11-17, 20-23
Psalm 88
Matthew 18:1-5, 10
O Lord, my God, by day I cry out; at night I clamor in your presence. Ps. 88:2
“… their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.” Mt. 18:10
Lord, famous people have body guards to protect them when they go out in public. They are always present, in the background, to keep movie stars or politicians safe. If there Is anyone that many of us take for granted, it’s our guardian angel. I know I can often go days without thinking of my personal protector and guide. But my angel is always with me even when I’m not aware. Even if I doubt the presence of my angel, I am never alone. I thank you, Lord, for blessing me with my personal body guard. There is no one else who is so loyal and faithful to me as the angel you have assigned to me. Yet, my angel is true to your will and is perfectly obedient to you in all things. You and my angel are of one heart and mind. I pray that one day I will see my angel and then I can become aware of all the times my angel has saved me from harm and led me along the right path to you. Angel of God my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, every this day be at my side to light, to guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
