The Lord called me from birth, from my mother’s womb he gave me my name.  Is. 49:1

I am made glorious in the sight of the Lord and my God is now my strength.  Is. 49:5

Lord, you selected John for a unique role in the plan of salvation.  No other person, among the 100 billion human beings you have created, was chosen to prepare the way for you.  From the very moment of his miraculous conception he was your prophet and servant.  John, even in Elizabeth’s womb, knew you and leapt for joy when you came to him.  The grace of a loving Father formed him to carry out a special job that nobody else could do.  Lord, I too am chosen and selected from conception for your special purpose.  Your dream for me is meant only for me.  No one else has my DNA, my unique gifts, talents and experiences.  I was born in a certain place, a certain time to a certain family.  You have chosen me to do things nobody else was chosen to do.  Lord, I need your strength and your wisdom to be who you created me to be.  I believe I am “precious and glorious in your eyes and that you love me.”  I pray I will be open to your guidance today.  May I never let you down.  Amen.
