1 Samuel 24:3-21

Psalm 57

Mark 3:13-19

Jesus…summoned those whom he wanted and they came to him.  Mk. 3:13

Lord, you began to build your kingdom with a small group of men.  These were the people you wanted with you as you carried out your mission to win back Israel and all mankind.  They were far from perfect and they needed a lot of conversion.  They would become “hall of fame” disciples after being with you and receiving the Holy Spirit.  Lord, you have likewise summoned me and I have come to you with all my baggage.  I too need refining, healing and conversion.  But, Lord, you see the big picture of whom and what I can become.  I too often focus on my own weaknesses and overlook my strengths.  But you see me perfectly and watch the goodness you have placed within me grow into holiness.  You know exactly what graces I need to bear the fruit you have created me to bear.  Lord, thank you for calling me to yourself.  Thank you for believing in me and for wanting me to be at your side as you continue to build your kingdom.    Amen
