Psalm 119

Luke 4:16-3”0

“…let the oppressed go free…” Lk. 4:18

Lord, this passage from Luke gives us your mission statement. Your prophetic role is to bring mankind the good news of the Father’s love and to release those of us in spiritual captivity to sin. You gave sight to those blind to the truth of your word and you freed us from that which oppresses us. Everything you did and said was to give us freedom from the chains of oppression. We were created to be free but we have chosen the path of disobedience, pride and selfishness. Lord help me to see what oppresses me. Show me the effects of bad choices and sin in my life. Release me from the guilt and shame of my past mistakes. Lord, may I be free of all the fear and ego that separates me from you. You give me a great hope that I truly can live like I’ve been saved.Thank you Lord for breaking the bonds that keep me from loving and living in freedom.  Amen.
