Amos 3:1-8; 4:11-12

Psalm 5

Matthew 8:23-27

“Lord, save us! We are perishing!” Mt. 8:25

Lord, reading and pondering your word today is convincing evidence that you have calmed every storm in my life to this point. I am still here because you have saved me from perishing as you did your disciples. Even when my faith is weak and I am prone to panic you’ve been my savior. There hasn’t been a storm too much for you. You’ve never slept thru any of my trials.  Lord, truly life brings many tests for my faith. Some I have passed others I’ve failed. Despite that you stay in the boat with me. Your people are in the midst of the storms of the Covid-19 pandemic and the turmoil and violence in our streets. I know there are more storms to come so bless me with the faith and trust that will be my strength.  Build up my confidence that you understand all my fears.  I lift up in prayer all who don’t see your presence in our suffering. I believe in your power, Lord, and your will for my life.  Never let worry take the place of faith in you.  I thank you for calming all the storms of my life.  Amen.
