Joel 4:12-2
Psalm 97
Luke 11:27-28
“,,, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.” Lk. 11:28
Lord, we have an expression that says, “actions speak louder than words.” I think it means that the real proof of our character and identity is in what we do rather than in what we say. Your mother Mary was praised by the woman who complimented her from the crowd. Mary indeed was blessed to have been chosen to be your mother. But she was blessed first because she had listened to God’s word and that word had formed her to be ready for when she was asked by the angel to bring you into the world she could say yes. Mary chose to live out the word she had heard and allowed to grow in her heart. Lord, I can allow your word to just live in my mind and accept an intellectual consent to your teachings. Or I can allow it to penetrate my heart and change me, inspire me, guide me and strengthen me. I can choose to let your word to transform my life, influence my decisions and allow me to say yes like Mary. Dear Jesus until your word is lived, it is nothing. Amen
