Acts 13:13-25

Psalm 89

John 13:16-20

That my hand may be always with him, and that my arm may make him strong.” Psalm 89:21

“I know those whom I have chosen.” John 13:18

Lord, you assured your chosen servant-king David that you would always be with him and be his strength so he could be the shepherd of your chosen nation. Three thousand years later our faith tells us you are still choosing those of us who you call to witness to you. You will give us the strength we need. Lord, I repent of the times when I fail to see you walking with me. I’m sorry for when I don’t look for your presence in my suffering. I regret trying to handle everything myself. When I am weak, be my strength.  When I am worried, show me that you are greater than any of my problems. When I am in conflict with others, give me your peace. Today, Lord, I will trust that you walk with me everywhere I go. I would love to wash your feet and those you send me to. I will depend upon your strength to get me to the end of this day. I will not give up or become impatient when things don’t go as I want them to go. Thank you, Lord, for your strong arm and your faithfulness and mercy.  Amen.
