1 Thessalonians 4:9-11

Psalm 98

Matthew 25:14-30

Nevertheless we urge you, brothers, to progress even more… 1 Thes 4:10

“The one who received five talents went and traded with them and made another five”.  Mt. 25:16

Lord, thank you for the abundant blessings and gifts that you have put into my life.  They are signs of your love for me.  They are also signs of the expectation and trust you have in me to use them wisely and to develop them to build a more just and peaceful world.  I know the day will come when I will, like the servants in your parable, be called to account for how I have used or not used the gifts and opportunities given to me.  The most important gift is the gift of faith in you.  If I grow and mature in faith I believe everything else will take care of itself.  I will use the chances you offer each day to do good, to love and to become what you created me to be.  May I today, dear Jesus, please you in the ordinary duties and responsibilities of life.  I offer to you all my prayers, works, sufferings, and joys of this day for you to multiply and make abundant.  Amen.
