“…blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.” Lk. 11:28
Lord, your mother must be so proud of you. She heard God’s message from the angel and followed it to the “T”. Of all the people you rubbed shoulders with during your life on earth, she was the most influential and most blessed of them all. She knows you better than anyone other than your Father. Today you tell us that listening to your words and following them will result in similar blessings for us. The blessings of your faithful people are not limited to certain groups, genders, or family connections. Baptism has brought all of us into your family and has given us the opportunity to share the blessings you bestowed on your mother Mary. What a fantastic family to be a part of! Lord, continue to speak your word to me. With my huge family of brothers and sisters, may I cooperate with your grace and walk the path to eternity with them. I am part of your chosen race and am truly blessed to be offered the truth that can set me free. Also, thank you for blessing me with such an awesome spiritual mother. I am truly most blest. Amen.
