Revelation 1:1-4; 2:1-5

Psalm 1

Luke 18:35-43

“Son of David, have pity on me”? Lk. 18:39

Lord, I am calling out to you to see my needs and those of my family.  If you ask me what I want you to do for me the answers are many.  I can relate a list of the many ways I need your power and grace in my life.  Those in my family and friends are also looking for healing, strength, endurance and guidance.  Until you came along, the blind man only begged for food or money.  But his faith was sparked when he heard it was you for he believed you could do for him what no passerby could do.  His foremost need was to be able to see.   You told us to “seek first the kingdom of God and all else will be given you besides.”  Lord, my foremost need is to follow the will of God in everything I think, say and do.  I request your blessing upon my family so that they will see your love for them with the eyes of faith.  Look into our hearts and see what needs to be healed for us to thrive in your grace and peace.  Lord, I surrender to whatever your love will bring my way.  Amen.
