Romans 15:14-21

Psalm 98

Luke 16:1-8

For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me… Rom 15:18

“A rich man had a steward who was…squandering his property.”  Lk 16:1

Lord, you have been so very good to me.  Throughout my life you have blessed me with everything I need to live in your grace.  You have offered me the opportunities to use your gifts for your glory and for the good of the people you have placed near me.  O how often I have, like the dishonest steward in your story, not been responsible with your grace.  I have squandered the time you have arranged for me on this earth.  I have chosen to feed myself instead of those in need.  I have shied away from sharing your Good News because of uncertainty or fear.  Lord, don’t give up on me.  I want to give a good accounting of my stewardship of your gifts.  Help me to accomplish what you have created me for.  May I today be ready when the opportunities and challenges come my way to be your witness.  May I be prudent as I reach out to others in your name.  Amen.
