“But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. John 16:13
Lord, Paul recognized that the Greeks were seeking the one true God, although they did not know him. He slowly and gently appealed to their desire for truth to know the living God. He didn’t argue or debate but met them where they were. Your gospel is sometimes just too good to be true. Faith is not always easy or logical. Lord, there is much about you that is unknown to me. I want to know you better and to have a deep, personal friendship with you. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit into the world to lead us to all truth. Each of us seeks you from a different place. I am grateful that you look into my heart and see the good that is there. May I look upon my family members and others with the same patience and understanding. I can follow the example of Paul and start where they are and gently lead them to you. For many the complete and unconditional love you have for us can be too much. May the Holy Spirit lead us all to the freedom you created us for. Amen.
