Acts of the Apostles 28:16-20
Psalm 11
John 21:20-25
There are also many other things that Jesus did… John 21:25
Lord, I would give anything to know more of the things you did that are not recorded in the gospels. I believe we have everything that is essential to our salvation but my curiosity makes me yearn to know what is not recorded. What was your childhood like? How I’d love to be a mouse in the corner watching Mary teach you the Psalms. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see the first table you made in the carpenter shop with Joseph? How many tears were shed when you told your mother you must leave home to follow the will of your Father? So many people were healed, sins forgiven, encouragement offered and people fed that we do not know of. So many demons were driven out, comfort given to the grieving, parables told, and rebukes to Satan that would be awesome to know. Your teaching and miracles had to be inspiring and breathtaking. Lord, I trust that one day when we enter heaven we will all have the complete picture of your life. Until then I am satisfied to have what I have and remain grateful for the gift of the gospels. Amen
