2 Peter 1:2-7

Psalm 91

Mark 12:1-12

My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.  Psalm 91:2

Lord, we seek security in so many ways.  We build homes to code so that storms cannot damage them.  We have investments to maintain our financial security.   We buy insurance in case of accidents or health problems.  All these are prudent uses of your gifts to us.  We have an obligation to our families to care for them.  Sometimes we encounter challenges beyond our means to protect ourselves.  In all ways, Lord, you are our refuge and protection.  There is no insurance policy against the attacks of the evil one.  No investment is perfectly safe.  No doctor can heal all illnesses.  I have total and complete security when I trust in your promises.  When I call upon your name I have confidence you will answer.  You are the only one who will never, ever let me down.  I thank you for my guardian angel who walks with me wherever I go.  Lord, continue to rescue me from the snares of evil.  Show me how you keep your promises of safety and peace.   Today, Lord, I will look for all the ways you provide all I need.  Amen
