There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit… 1 Cor. 12:4

…he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:22

Lord, at the dawn of creation you breathed life into Adam.  At Pentecost you breathed the life of your Spirit into your disciples.  At my baptism you breathed your divine life into me.  I was created in the very image of God and given a new identity by your gift of the same Holy Spirit given to your Apostles so long ago.  I thank you for choosing me to receive such an awesome free gift.  Today, I can celebrate the work of your Spirit in my life.  In your perfect plan and tender love you’ve blessed me with all I need to live the life you created me for.  Guided, strengthened and inspired each and every day, I can develop and use the unique gifts and opportunities that are given only to me.  Come, Holy Spirit, into my home, my family and my heart.  I’m excited, Lord, where your Spirit will take me today.  Amen.
