“You, follow me.” John 21:22

Lord, your word today sums up what it means to be a disciple of yours.  I have chosen to follow you through all the times, places and circumstances of my life.  How I do that changes as I experience your grace and are formed by your word.  There are so many distractions, temptations and challenges on the road to eternity.  You have a purpose for me and a mission for me.  What’s important at this moment is to be open to whatever you call me to today.  How can I best be your disciple this day?  Who will I meet who needs an encouraging word?  What do you want me to do for you today?  How can I grow in faith and trust in you?  Lord, I want to go wherever you lead me.  I depend on you to perfect my words, prayers and love.  Dear Jesus, I place it all in your hands.  Thank you for choosing me to be a witness to you.  Amen.
