Hosea 10:1-3, 7-8, 12

Psalm 105

Matthew 10:1-7

“…it is time to seek the Lord… Hosea 10:12

“…the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  Mt. 10:7

Lord, unlike the game of hide and seek we played as children, you want to be found.  In fact, you are closer to us than our own skin.  You invite us into an ever deeper, more personal, relationship with you every day.  When we encounter you in your word and sacrament we enter into the place where you can do marvelous things for us.  Only when we let go of our pride and independence can we truly meet you.  We humbly surrender to you all our joys and sorrows.  We realize where all the good in our lives comes from.  You prepare us for duty in the kingdom like you did your Apostles.  Lord, today may I find you in unexpected people and situations.  May I be open to your grace.  Don’t let me hesitate or put off what you have called me to do today.  I may make mistakes along the way but I know you can perfect all my efforts to bear fruit that will please you.  Thank you Lord for the gifts you have poured into my life.  Amen.
