Hebrews 11:32-40

Psalm 31

Mark 5:1-20

While keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith.  Hebrews 12:2

“Daughter, your faith has saved you!”  Mark 5:34

Lord, it’s clear from Mark’s story today that faith in you is the key element in receiving healing and new life.  Jarius and the unnamed woman both knew you had the power over disease and suffering.  They sought your touch.  The young girl was raised and the woman’s hemorrhages were cured.  I have to admit, Lord, my faith isn’t perfect.  I can have doubts at times how you will respond to my prayers.  My faith life can have peaks and valleys.  Distractions like suffering and temptations can take my eyes off you.  So Jesus, forgive my weakness and lack of faith.  I look to you as my “leader and perfecter of faith” to strengthen me.  May I persevere during times of doubt and see your light in the darkness of my human limitations.  I trust in you, trust in you, trust in you my Lord and my God.  As I run the race to eternity maintain my focus on your love and mercy.  I know you can see into my heart.  Build up the faith you find there.  Amen.
