Lord, once again faith in God got your attention. The man on the mat came before you because his friends had faith in you to heal him. They were not afraid to do something extraordinary to place their friend where you could give him his life back. He received the bonus of having his sins forgiven. Did you also forgive the sins of the four men who believed enough in you to go the extra mile for their friend? This story shows me that true faith in you can help me to overcome obstacles that I encounter in my faith walk. It shows me that perseverance in prayer can achieve great things. It also shows me never to underestimate your power. Although they came to you for physical healing they got spiritual healing also. That was your priority. Lord, today I may meet someone who I need to forgive. May your grace give me the faith of these men and their friend. I also pray that you put good, faith-filled friends in my life to walk with me on my journey with you. Lord Jesus, I trust and hope in you. Amen.
