Psalm 94

Mark 8:14-21

…all good giving and every perfect gift is from above… James 1:17

“Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear?”  Mk. 8:18

Lord, I hear a real frustration in your voice today.  As you crossed the sea in the boat with your disciples you kind of scolded them for their lack of faith in you and your mighty deeds.  How quickly they forgot how you had recently fed thousands with just a few loaves of bread.  In their hunger they overlooked the obvious.   Are you frustrated with me?  How soon I forget the gifts of grace and mercy you pour into my soul.  I know for sure that I have missed so much of what you have given me throughout my life.  I can get too busy with my affairs or give in to the hardness of my heart by taking credit myself for personal accomplishments or success.   Lord, today please help me to be more aware of your constant presence and loving care.  May I see how you bless me with strength when I am weak, lift me up when I am down and protect me from temptation and all harm.  Thank you so much for all your perfect gifts for they are proof of your goodness and love for me.  Amen.
