Isaiah 41:13-20
Psalm 145
Matthew 11:11-15
I will turn the desert into a marshland, and the dry ground into springs of water. Is. 41:18
Let all your works give you thanks, O Lord, and let your faithful ones bless you. Ps 145:10
Lord, with only about ten days left before Christmas the pace of our buying, cleaning, decorating and baking picks up. While I know you bless much of this activity because we are putting a priority on the family celebration to come it can become a distraction from the real reason we are doing it in the first place. We can even become a little frantic if we don’t keep the big picture in mind. Isaiah reminds us of your faithfulness. He tells us of how you can transform any dryness in our prayer time and give life to our relationships. Lord, you came among us and became like us and so I thank you today. I offer all my prayers, works, sufferings and joys of this day to you in gratitude for your kindness and blessings. Shower me with the rivers of grace I so desperately need everyday but especially now. Keep my heart open to your love and fill my mind with the peace you want for me. Amen
