Psalm 85

2 Peter 3:8-14

Mark 1:1-8

 …he is patient with you… 2 Peter 3: 9

Lord, I know you look upon me with love.  I’m also know you are very aware of my shortcomings and weaknesses.  I am sure you are not done with me yet and are always leading me forward to greater faith.  You see me as an unfinished product.  I’ve made some progress but I’m still rough around the edges.  Lord, you look into my heart and know me completely.  You see my reluctance to change and my foot-dragging when it comes to giving myself fully to you.  Thanks for your patience and for not giving up on me.  This Advent season is a good time to stir the pot a bit and begin to open up more to your grace.  I look for ways to come closer to you in daily prayer, scripture reading, quiet meditation and reflection.  I can come to you for forgiveness and be bathed in your mercy by the sacrament of Reconciliation.  Your great gift of yourself in the Eucharist can nourish me for the long haul.  Dear Jesus, I await with joy how you will touch me today.
