Acts of the Apostles 13:26-33

Psalm 2

John 14:1-6

“I am going to prepare a place for you.”  John 14:2

Lord, we all need encouragement along the road to you.  Some of us would never get out of bed in the morning if we didn’t have the hope you give us.  Our hearts can become very troubled with the challenges and sufferings we face each day.  But you urge us not to let that happen.  Because you were one of us in all ways but sin you know how tough life can be.  Yours was one of the toughest of all.  I know you keep your promises so when you say you are preparing a place for each and every one of us in heaven I believe you.  I believe you will come back again and bring each of us to yourself.   Thank you, dear Jesus for being our way home.  Thank you for giving us the truth of your mercy and justice.  Thank you for the abundant life you give us in your grace.  Lord, if I am tempted to have a troubled heart today remind me that you are walking with me and know every worry and fear I have.  May we, together, rejoice over your promises of hope and peace.  Amen.
