“And by faith in his name, this man…has been made strong…” Acts 3:16
O Lord, our Lord, how glorious is your name over all the earth. Ps. 8:1
Lord, you chose to heal a man crippled from birth through Peter and John. They invoked your most Holy Name and because of their faith and the openness of the man he was healed. He could walk, run, jump and dance for the first time in his life. This was a dramatic miracle that produced much fruit. We are told thousands of people came to believe in you and your resurrection because of this healing and the preaching of your apostles. Lord, I can witness a greater miracle at every Mass. You become real to me. I can touch you. I can listen to you speak to me through your scriptures. I can praise your most Holy Name and be healed. Then I can go out the doors of my church and joyfully spread the good news that you are alive and still with us. Lord, don’t let me keep this good news to myself but make me a bold proclaimer of the power of your Holy Name like your apostles did long ago. Because of their courage, I have come to believe in you. Use me, dear Jesus, to heal and console in your name. Amen.
