Psalm 105

Luke 24:13-35

He leaped up, stood, and walked around… Acts 3:8

So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem… Luke 24:33

Lord, two encounters with you show us the power of faith.  The man crippled from birth could stand, walk and jump for joy for the first time in his life.  The two downcast travelers to Emmaus met you on the road and after seeing you in the breaking of bread were changed forever.  When we are open to your word and receive it in faith wonderful things happen.  The Spirit can bring us to places of faith that we cannot achieve on our own.  The crippled man and the two travelers were the first to be transformed by your Resurrection.   Lord, touch my heart and heal whatever you find there that is crippled.  Touch my mind and bring me out of any depression or fear you find there.  Make me whole even in my brokenness.  Today I pray for all who are crippled physically, mentally or spiritually.  Heal them so they can give you glory.  I also lift up to you those of my family who have left your church for whatever reason.  Give them new hope and bring them home.   Risen Lord, may my heart burn within me upon hearing your word.  Amen.
