Psalm 119
John 6:30-35
“I am the bread of life.” John 6:35
Lord, real, personal and valued relationships are not based on what someone can do for us but on who that person is to us. These bonds are forged in trust, confidence and gratitude. Giving of ourselves to another is the highest form of friendship. The people wanted you to perform more miracles, to give them more free bread. But you wanted to give them yourself. You want to feed their spiritual hunger and thirst in ways that will endure for eternity. Lord, I pray you will nourish my faith and hope. I ask for you to be close to me so I can just be near you. Help me to remove all the distractions which pull me away from just being with you and being touched by your grace. I love you, Jesus, for being my Savior. You are all I really need to live a life worthy of your great sacrifice for me. Thank you, Lord, for being my daily bread. Amen.
