James 5:13-20

Psalm 141

Mark 10:13-16

The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.  James 5:16

Let my prayer be incense before you.  Psalm 141:2

Lord, you know me very well. How easily I am distracted from your constant attention to me. How lazy I can be sometimes when I pray. I can even doubt that you are always listening to my prayers. How often do I miss or overlook your answers to my prayers? I know that my prayers are very imperfect and can be carelessly mechanical. I have even prayed for the conversion of others believing in my heart they won’t change. How little is my faith! Ok, Lord, here is my prayer today. I pray for a heart that burns for you. I beg for your forgiveness for my lack of faith in your generosity and faithfulness. Lord, please clear my mind of distractions and temptations. Lord, I call to you, come quickly to help me. Touch my heart with your grace. Surround me with a sense of being in your presence every minute of this day. Make every breath I take, every beat of my heart, be a prayer of thanksgiving that rises up to you like incense. Thank you, Jesus, for hearing and answering my every prayer.  Amen
