Lord, as we observe the miracle of growth in our gardens you show your awesome power to generate life. The small seeds are transformed and grow and change into plants that feed us and give you glory. So small yet, with your intricate design, become beautiful. What seeds are planted in me? What still needs watering and soil and sunlight to grow and become what you desire? Lord, don’t let me resist the growth of your Kingdom in me. Help me to encourage the same growth in others this day. Bless my words and actions to water the growth of faith humility, trust and goodness. Lord, reign in my heart in such a way that I have an eternal perspective in my joys and sufferings. Destroy the pests of selfishness and pride that can stunt the growth of your Kingdom. Lord, we are all works in progress. We need the nourishment of your Sacraments and your word. We stay close to you with daily prayer. Make me a hopeful person, eager to seek out your will each and every day. May your Kingdom come in me, my family and this world today. Amen.
