Psalm 102

Luke 9:46-50

They shall be my people and I will be their God… Zech 8:8

Lord, in all the ups and downs of life there is only one thing that never changes. In good times and bad, when it seems the times we live in are without hope, you are the constant in life. You have promised to be with us in faithfulness and justice. You are the light in our darkness and hope in our despair. You have pledged yourself to us as our protector and savior. I believe your promises. Sometimes it’s hard for me to see the fulfillment of these promises but I know that you are true to your word. In some way, maybe hidden from my eyes, you are making all things right. You accomplish your work in situations and with people that surprise me. Lord, help me to see and understand your ways. I believe in your love, for me and that I’m your precious child. Thank you for choosing me to be among your people and for being my God. Thank you for your complete loyalty to me and for hearing my prayer.  Amen.
