Deuteronomy 6:4-13

Psalm 18

Matthew 17:14-20

“…The Lord is our God, the Lord alone!” Dt. 6:6

“Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of mustard seed…nothing will be impossible for you.” Mt. 17:20

Lord, I sometimes wonder about my faith. I believe in you as my Savior and Lord. I believe you to be all good and all powerful. You showed us by your life, death and resurrection that obedience and reliance on your Father can indeed move mountains and nothing will be impossible. I wonder because fear can creep its way into my life when the obstacles in front of me seem so big. I wonder too if what I am doing is God’s will. If it is I’m confident and unafraid that it will come about. A holy priest I know always say’s not to worry, “God will provide.” Even if my faith is only the size of a mustard seed you assure me that is enough for God to work with. I pray that my faith may grow like the mustard tree and bear fruit for you. I pray that I can be an example of faith to my family. I pray that my faith will sustain me in hardship and suffering and even at my death. I believe nothing is impossible for God if I persevere in faith and trust in His goodness and mercy. I believe you only want what is good for me.  Amen.
