Numbers 12:1-13

Psalm 51

Matthew 14:22-36

Jesus spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”  Mt. 14:27

Lord, fear and doubt have no place in my relationship with you. Whether I admit it or not fear and doubt can easily slip into my life when my boat is rocked by strong waves in the midst of a storm. Even though you’ve been with me from the beginning. I can question your plan for me or forget that your power is greater than any storm in the night or even a Covid-19 pandemic. I often try to walk on water by using my own resources but in the end when I fail you are there to save me. Lord, today substitute any fear I have with a love of you that won’t falter. Substitute any doubt I have with a trust and faith that you fulfill all your promises completely. To do this I will maintain my eyes on you instead of the challenges around me or on my own abilities that seem to be lacking. I recall the words of Paul; nothing can separate us from your love. (Rom 8:39)  I’m so blessed that you have chosen me to be your disciple. I thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness to me, and for hearing and answering my prayer.  Amen.
