“…I am made glorious in the sight of the Lord…”  Isaiah 49:5

I give you thanks that I am fearfully, wonderfully made…Ps. 139:14

Lord, these words are just too much!  You made me a glorious person in your sight.  In the eyes of the world I’m pretty small, average, nothing special except to my family and sometimes even to them I’m not sure. But you honor me. You gave me a purpose from my mother’s womb. Even before I was a single cell you gave my life meaning. I am unique of all your creatures. Thank you Lord for looking at me as your special and glorious child. Just as you gave talents and opportunity to Isaiah and John the Baptist, you’ve given me gifts and a purpose. Gifts and purpose you’ve given no one else. So Lord today help me to live my unique and singular purpose — as a father, husband, citizen and faithful servant. Become my strength. Share your wisdom and power to heal upon me. Lord, I am a small person but large in your eyes. I am confident that, with your grace, I can bear the fruit you created me to bear. Jesus, I trust in you.  St. John pray for us.  Amen.
