2 Corinthians 3:4-11

Psalm 99

Matthew 5:17-19

“I have come not to abolish but to fulfill…” Mt. 5:17

Lord, I praise you, love you and thank you for showing us the face of our Father. In your Sermon on the Mount, you taught us about the love you Father has for each of us.  You also helped us understand what is pleasing to him. While obedience to the Father’s will is the number one in priority for our spiritual lives. You also pointed out the greatest and most important commandments for all of us. They are loving God with all our heart and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. If I follow these two commandments, I will fulfill all the others. You saw ways that living these commandments was life-giving for us. Lord, I trust in your goodness and believe that you will provide all the grace I need to bring myself closer to you. I pray for my family and friends who still haven’t come to believe in you and trust in your provision. I ask for your Holy Spirit to guide me to fulfill the law like you did.  St. Ephrem pray for us.  Amen.
