2 Corinthians 1:18-22

Psalm 119

Matthew 5:13-16

…many are the promises of God.  2 Cor 1:20

Lord, which of your promises have you not kept? You are a promise maker and a promise keeper. When you sent us the Holy Spirit you fulfilled a promise. When you promised to be with us until the end of time—you have kept it.  Despite what appears as a world gone amuck you sustain us, inspire us, protect us and love us. Your “yes” is a yes forever. When sometimes we have to wait, we can miss your yes because it arrives in a way or a time we don’t expect.  Lord, I want to say “yes” to you too. But my nature is weak. I also don’t see the big picture of your plan for my life.  Thank you Lord for keeping all your promises and for delivering me all that is good. “Steady my footsteps according to your promise, and let no iniquity rule over me.” (Ps. 119:133) May I today stay faithful and never hesitate to say yes to whatever you present to me. Yes, to whatever is for my good and yes to whatever brings me closer to you.  Amen.
