September 18, 2019 Wednesday of the 24th Week in Ordinary Time-C

1 Timothy 3:14-16

Psalm 111

Luke 7:31-35

I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart… Ps. 111:1

Lord, I don’t know what this day or this week will bring.  I might become frustrated with a situation, event or a person or I may be content and at peace with whatever comes; I don’t know.  Much about living is beyond my control.  I try to use good judgment in my decisions and I pray for your guidance and help in my choices.   There is one thing I can always do no matter what happens to me:  give thanks to you my Lord and my God.  I thank you for every beat of my heart and every breath I take.  You provide the air, water and food that allow my body to function.  I am not aware of countless chemical reactions that take place within my body and mind that keep me alive.  But you are watching it all.  You see every danger that lies in my path.  You surround me with family and friends that walk with me toward eternity.  When all is lost and I feel alone, you are at my side.   You carry me when I cannot walk another step.   All I can say is: thank you, Lord; thank you, Lord; thank you Lord.  Amen.
