Esther C:12, 14-19, 23-25

Psalm 138

Matthew 7:7-12

“Now help me, who am alone and have no one but you…” Esther C:14

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Mt. 7:7Lord Jesus, I believe you only want to give me what is good. You alone know what I need, what I lack and what will help me grow in faith. You are the source of every good person, gift and experience  in my life. I expect you will continue to be that source today and tomorrow. So why do I continue to try to handle everything myself?  Why do I pretend that I can make it on my own without your help? You give me an unshakable, perfect guarantee of your goodness, forgiveness and abundant blessings. Queen Esther was at the end of her rope and feared the king would unleash genocide on her people. She turned to you as her only hope and you delivered because of her humility and passionate dependence on you. Lord, I praise and thank you for all I am and all I ever will be. I want to ask, seek and knock for only what pleases you and is the will of the Father. I don’t need anything else. If waiting patiently for you to provide an answer is what is good for me, so be it.  If I ask wrongly and you withhold or give me something better, that’s OK too. Amen.
