Hebrews 11:1-2, 8-19
Psalm Luke 1:69-75
Mark 4:35-41
Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. Heb. 11:1
“Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?” Mk. 4:40
Lord, this story about the storm at sea shows me that fear belongs to this world and faith belongs to your Kingdom. You showed your friends that divine power is greater than anything the world can throw against me. So why do I fear when the storms of life strike? I know you are always with me and are able to protect me in the trials of life that come upon me. This pandemic is a mighty storm and we are all caught up in it. I know you will give us the means to recover from it. Hundreds of thousands of people have died from this corona virus. If they died in faith they are with you in paradise. So fear is useless, what is needed is trust in your care and faith that you are in the boat with me. I know you care about what happens to me. Lord, help me awaken to your presence within me. Help me to live at a deeper level and to let go of any fear or anxiety that comes upon me. Jesus, I trust in you. Amen.
