Isaiah 25:6-10

Psalm 23

Matthew 15:29-37

The Lord God will wipe away the tears from all faces; Is. 25:8

“My heart is moved with pity for the crowd…”  Mt. 15:32

Lord, I am greatly relieved that you will wipe away all my tears. All my heartbreaks you will heal and remove from me anything that is not pleasing to you. Do you still look on the crowd of mankind today and have pity for us? There is so much pain, sorrow, violence and blindness among us. You came to feed us, heal us and restore us to your Father. Every time I attend Holy Mass I am nourished with your greatest gift to us, yourself.  Lord, I look at the evening news and am moved with pity for those who are victims of crime, poverty and natural disasters. You saw the needs of the crowd; help me to see the needs of my brothers and sisters. With your help and guidance I can make a difference in the lives of those I pity.  Dear Jesus, let my heart be broken open like the bread. May I witness to the great good that you can do even through limited and frail people like me. I pray for all those who need healing and whose tears you will wipe away.  My greatest hunger is for you my Lord.  Amen.
