November 11, 2020 Wednesday of the 32nd Week in Ordinary Time-A ST. MARTIN OF TOURS, BISHOP

Titus 3:1-7

Psalm 23

Luke 17:11-19

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Ps. 23:1

“Stand up and go; your faith has saved you.”  Lk 17:19

Lord, how devastating and discouraging it must be to suffer from an incurable disease. In the case of leprosy, the victims were rejected and separated from their families and community to endure their fate alone. In your compassion you healed them and gave them back their lives. Lord, I have been a leper too in that I have sinned and have been separated from the Father. Without your mercy sin is an incurable disease. Like the lepers I call out to you, “Jesus, Master! Have pity on me!” You have removed my sin and restored me to right relationship with my Father. For that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I could not heal myself. I depend on your loving forgiveness. May my faith in your healing love keep me free of sin today.  Lord, I am so grateful for all your blessings which you give out of your goodness and kindness. With you as my shepherd, I have no wants.  May I never take for granted the smallest gift from you. I lift up to you too Lord, my family and friends who have not yet come to you to be cleansed.  Move their hearts to seek your healing mercy.  St. Martin pray for us. Amen.
