Philippians 4:10-19

Psalm 122

Luke 16:9-15

I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me.  Phil 4:13

The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great one;” Lk. 16:10

Lord, we are called today to reflect on where I place my trust. I know that all I have to live comes from you. It is your call how much you give me and mine on how I use it. I rejoice, like St. Paul, in your generosity. I am grateful for the spiritual and material gifts you have given me. I am confident that you will provide everything I need for my salvation. Times can be tough and I can struggle but you are always looking out for me in every way. You place people in my life that pray for me when I am in need. You also bring people into my lives that are in need so I can experience the joy of giving and satisfying their needs. I believe you said “God loves a cheerful giver.”  May I stay alert to the needs of my family, friends and neighbors. May I never hesitate to look to serving you by serving them. Let me never live in fear of being too generous. I trust in how you look after me in that you provide the strength for me to make the right decisions on how I use my wealth, my time and my attention.  Amen.
