“You follow me.” John 28:22
Lord Jesus your word today sums up what it means to be your disciple. I have chosen to follow you through all the times, places and circumstances of my life. Have I done it perfectly? No I haven’t. How I follow you changes as I experience your grace and are formed by your word. There are so many distractions, temptations and challenges on the road to eternity. You have a purpose for me and a mission for me that I must be ready for as I grow and mature in faith. What’s important at this moment is to be open to whatever you call me to this day. How can I best be your disciple this day? Who will I meet who needs an encouraging word? What do you want me to do for you today? How can I grow in faith and trust in you? Lord, I want to go whoever you lead me. I depend on you to perfect my work, prayers and love. Help me to see the opportunities you place in front of me. Dear Jesus, I place it all in your hands. Thank you for choosing me to follow you. Amen Alleluia.
