Acts of the Apostles: 6:8-15

Psalm 119

John  6:22-29

“Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life.” John 6:27

Risen Lord, during this Covid-19 pandemic many of us are required to stay at home and are unable to work or go to school. The days can drag along sometimes families struggle because their normal routine of school or work has been disrupted. Please keep everyone safe when they go out for essential duties.  Lord you know who is being hurt the most through lost wages. Please give us all a sense that this time alone or at home can be an opportunity to discover your care for us. Our churches are closed and we cannot receive you in the Eucharist. We can use this time to probe deeper into your word. Maybe order a weekly meditation aid. Pray with the children. Enjoy each other as we get to know each other better. We can be grateful for the people you have put in our lives or maybe look after a lonely neighbor who has no one. This “stay at home” period can be a blessing if we look at it as the will of God.  He has something special He wants for each and every family. Look at it as “food that endures” instead of a trial.  Amen Alleluia
