Acts of the Apostles 4:1-12
Psalm 118
John 21:1-14
“…he was saved…in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean …whom God raised from the dead…” Acts 4:10
Lord not long before Peter and John were arrested, Peter denied you three times. He sure made up for that poor decision by proudly proclaiming you as the risen son of God before those who had the power to imprison and torture him. The difference was told by Luke in the Acts of the Apostles. “Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit answered them?” (v.8) After my Baptism and again at my Confirmation I received courage and fortitude and good spiritual judgment from the Holy Spirit. That’s how I go about my day now. From the moment I wake up in the morning until I close my eyes at night I want to be like Peter and John. They were unafraid of the consequences of proclaiming the good news of the resurrection. They were confident that you would protect them and lead them in the right direction. I’m not on my own, alone facing hostile powers. You are with me every moment of every day. I am joyous that I have you as my rock of refuge. Not only that but you served your disciples breakfast! Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endures forever. Amen Alleluia
