“…with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.” Acts 2:25

“My flesh too, will dwell in hope. “ Acts 2:26

Lord, your chosen leader Peter wasted no time to begin to proclaim the good news of your Resurrection. We’ve prepared ourselves during the forty days of Lent for this joyous time of Easter. We relive the promise of the Resurrection during the fifty days of Eastertide. You have readied my heart to receive your abundant love and grace. But here we are in the worst days of the Corona virus pandemic. Thousands are dying every day as we stay shut up in our homes. Lord, what is going on in the world affects all of us and for many it may be hard to find joy in this time. Lost jobs, sick relatives and we must disinfect everything we touch. It’s a good time for us to remember that you  live and are in charge of everything that is happening. You are saving lives through heroic work by our doctors and nurses. You give courage and hope to the dying through the sacraments and your promise of eternal life. Lord I lift up in prayer today our government leaders, our first responders, medical personnel and the priests and others who step in to encourage and fortify those dying.  Relatives are consoled and hope and joy return. Thank you Lord for with you close by I shall not be disturbed.  Amen Alleluia.
