“Blessed be the Lord, your God.” 1 Kings 10:9
Lord, the Queen of Sheba came to Solomon with a lot of valuable gifts. She wanted to impress him with the riches of her court. But what she found could not be bought with any amount of money. She discovered the wisdom of the ages as she asked difficult questions of the King of Israel. She heard the truth of God from Solomon. She immediately saw that his wisdom and wealth came from Almighty God because it was beyond any human wisdom. Solomon had prayed to you for such wisdom, and you greatly answered his prayer. I too pray for wisdom that your truth may live within me. I need help with decisions and with the proper ordering of my priorities. I need your help to speak when it is prudent and to remain silent when that is best. May all my words and actions reflect your greatness and your love for me and my family. May I choose wisely and carefully when obstacles and problems crop up in my life. I don’t ask for the riches of Solomon just his wisdom so I may follow your will in everything I do. Mother Mary pray for us. Amen
