Lord, in grade school I was told that I am a temple, a place where God lives. I was made in the image and likeness of God. That means that I am so much more than just a physical body. That means that the divine life is always with me-at work, driving my car, washing the dishes, watching TV or sleeping. I am one with you all day and night-24/7. This truth encourages me to care for my body and mind. This truth compels me to turn from temptations and the pollution of sin. It urges me to walk with you, Lord, every day. Help me today dear Jesus to a greater awareness of your presence in my heart. With your grace I can live pure and blameless. I can turn to you for help in making decisions, big and small. Solomon and the people saw you in the cloud in the temple. May I see you in my heart and the hearts of all others around me. Amen.
