Psalm 51

Mark 4:26-34

“…seed will sprout and grow, he knows not how.”  Mark 4:27

Lord, I just took a walk in the forest.  I saw hundreds of trees, plants and a few animals.  All formed by your hands.  They’ve all grown and flourished without any care by man.  They live for a time, die and become the raw materials for future life and growth. All this I am unaware.  I’m overwhelmed about how you have been present in my life though I am unaware.  So many unknowns, so many questions, so many mysteries.  Why did you give me life at the time and place you did?  How is it that you’ve provided for my growth and sustenance?  How many times have you saved me from illness, accident or death?  When did you guide me to someone or some situation that needed my presence?  Lord, you’ve done so much that I am completely oblivious to.  Thank you, Lord, for everything I don’t know.  Thank you for having my back even when I don’t sense you are there.  Lord, open my mind and heart to appreciate all I do not see.  Amen.
