…I have been mercifully treated… 1 Timothy 1:13
Lord, you are the source of perfect love and endless mercy. There are no limits to either. Time after time I have disobeyed, gone my way rather than yours. Every time you’ve covered my sins with your mercy. You continue to bring me forward with grace and not look back to my unfaithfulness. If you can forgive and transform the blasphemer Paul, you can forgive and transform me. Never let me take your patient forgiveness for granted. I’m so grateful that you’ve never given up on me. With your grace I too can be merciful toward my brothers and sisters. I can be less judgmental. I can look beyond their faults and weaknesses to their potential. I’ll never attain your levels of mercy, Lord, but I can begin one day at a time, one person at a time, to forgive and forget. Amen.
