…I am made glorious in the sight of the Lord… Isaiah 49:5

Lord, when I look in the mirror I can’t say “glorious” comes to mind.  When I look back on my life it is not what I’d call glorious for the most part.  Yet your word today teaches that in your view that’s what you see.  From the instant of my conception in my mother’s womb you looked upon me with favor and blessing.  All along the way you have called, guided, and strengthened me to become what you made me for.  I have a purpose, my life has meaning.  I have an important role in your overall plan for humankind.  It’s important for me to realize, Lord that my choices matter.  I am far from perfect and I know I make a lot of mistakes and poor choices.  Each time I fall, Lord, you are there to help me up, put me on my feet and lead me forward.  You have never given up on me for you have incredible patience.  My Jesus, I thank you in this Holy Week for your grace and mercy and being my strength.  Amen.
